The Education Committee

The Education Committee is responsible for the educational strategy of the AAGBI. Educational events include Seminars, regional Core Topics Meetings, and the annual Winter Scientific Meeting (WSM) London, Annual Congress and the trainee conference the GAT (Group of Anaesthetists in Training) Annual Scientific Meeting. Details of all these meetings can be viewed in the events listings.

A major focus of the Education Committee is to develop an online learning for all. In addition to podcasts and the Anaesthesia Tutorial of the Week, we have recently launched Learn@AAGBI. This platform allows you to view lectures from seminars and major meetings online and fill out reflective learning templates to keep a record in your very own CPD area. We realise the increasing difficulty in getting time away from work and hospitals decreasing financial support for study leave. We hope we can help with your learning requirements from the comfort of your own homes!

The Committee also serves as a quality assurance board for the AAGBI's education programme (both events and e-education material).
