art exhibition - your entry counts!
Don’t forget the Art Exhibition which will be running again this year! Thanks to the curatorship of Dr Stephanie Greenwell
and Dr Diana Dickson, assisted by Julie Gallagher, you will be able to enjoy an exciting exhibition of artworks.
All work offered is accepted and shown. Entries can be in any media and have in the past included paintings,
photographs, sculptures, embroidery and stained glass work. There is no limit on number, type or size of works
accepted from each artist. Also, there is no standard which is deemed unacceptable. The goal of the exhibition is to
showcase the talents of all anaesthetists and their families or friends. The more entries we receive, the happier we are.
To add a little spice, we do award a small prize to the best exhibits!
If artists are agreeable, we offer their work for sale in aid of charity. Our chosen charity is the Royal Medical Benevolent
Fund. This charity helps to support doctors and their families who, due to adverse circumstances and/or illness, find
themselves in financial difficulty. Not everyone has a decent pension waiting for them if they are unable to work! This
is particularly the case with young doctors. We encourage you to permit the sale of your work but appreciate that some
items are too precious to be offered for this purpose. The guide price assists the organisers in raising the maximum
possible amount of money.
