ACCOMPANYING PERSONS TOURS
Wednesday 23 September 2009
SIGHTSEEING DAY (1000–1600)
Join us as we pass some of central Liverpool’s historic sites before travelling under the river into the beautiful Wirral
Peninsula. The journey proceeds through Birkenhead Park en route to the delightful village of Port Sunlight, created in
1888 by William Lever for his workforce making his soap products. A tour of the village will delight all, and the Lady
Lever Gallery houses many wonderful artifacts collected by Lever and his wife on their world travels. Here lunch will
be eaten followed by a visit to Sunlight Vision museum. Moving further across the Wirral, the wonderful Ness Gardens – the former home of plant collector Arthur Kingdom Bulley – can be explored.
Tickets: £65
