John Snow Memorial Lecture

The John Snow Memorial Lecture was introduced in 1958 following a proposal by
C Langton Hewer to mark the centenary of John Snow’s death. Initially the Lecturer received a cash prize but since 1967 a bronze medal has also been presented.

The Lecture forms part of the programme at the Annual Congress.

Pinkerton Memorial Lecture

Portrait photo of PinkertonThe Guest Lecture became known as the Pinkerton Memorial Lecture in 1982 in honour of H H (Tony) Pinkerton, President of the Association (1965-1967) at the time the Junior Anaesthetists’ Group was founded. A bronze medal is presented to the Pinkerton Lecturer.

The Lecture forms part of the programme at the GAT Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM).

Intavent Lecture
