Guidelines
The Association of Anaesthetists produces guidelines on issues affecting anaesthetists or anaesthesia. The guidelines are usually the end product of a working party that is established to discuss a specific subject. The working party, consisting of representatives from the Association together with experts from related agencies, meets regularly and then publishes its recommendations/findings in an Association publication. A hard copy of a new publication is posted to all Association members but the full text can also be accessed by anyone on the website.
The current active guidelines are listed alphabetically below, simply click on the publication you would like to download. All guidelines are in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format . In order to read them you must have Acrobat reader installed on your computer. If you do not have this programme already then please install the free version below.
For older publications (circa 2000) and previous editions of current guidelines please click on the Archive section on the right hand menu. For guidelines produced by the Irish Standing Committee and the GAT Committee please choose the link from the right hand menu.
All current active publications are available by post and are free to members of the Association and £5.00 per copy to non-members. To order copies please contact Julie Gallagher on +44 (0) 20 7631 1650, Email: juliegallagher@aagbi.org
